The PiXL Maths site is a resource that puts the power of PiXL in the hands of the people that can make a difference...YOU!
Whether you are a member of staff or a student, the tool enables you to identify strengths and areas to develop within the Mathematics curriculum.
The site offers a variety of resources to help students bridge gaps, including vocabulary enhancement, factual videos, worked example pairs, and comprehensive notes.
Building a habit of using the tool is essential for developing independent working skills, and this is where the homework tool plays a crucial role. The homework feature allows teachers to assign tasks from their curriculum plan or from the wider topic list. Students are provided with all the necessary resources, including an e-reader and the support mechanisms mentioned above. At hand-in time, teachers receive a comprehensive breakdown of results, showing the questions attempted and any work displayed on screen. In the classroom, the tool offers valuable insights into areas for improvement and can generate starters based on the results.
The built-in analytics make interpreting student progress a breeze. When sharing information with stakeholders, the platform enhances the home-school partnership by creating a revision plan based on the data.
The site also features an innovative QLA system that gathers performance data for all pupils from written papers and presents the results in various formats, including pupil reports, workbooks, and feed-forward tasks.
One of the strongest parts of the site is the ability to promote engagement. The built in scoreboard feature enables schools to quickly monitor the use both at staff and student level.
Innovative tools to help reduce teacher workload.
Regenerative questions that mark and track student performance automatically.
Built-in tools to support students in multiple languages and abilities.
The site is FREE to all our PiXL members.
Secondary Schools
All students will need to be first added to the central database (https://appusers.pixl.org.uk). You will need to upload a list of all students and assign them to a subject and class to allow them to access specific apps (at least a Geography class to access this app).
Once you have uploaded your students
Having assigned students to classes and distributed the login information, everyone should now be able to login to the app.
